Geez, making a list is so darn tough. This year I started college and my reading has definitely suffered due to it. I still have to read many awesome books that released this year. So my list may not feature some of the top picks. I also couldn't rank the books, that was an impossible task. Here, are the best books I read this year. (in no particular order)
Pushing the Limits was one of my favorite contemporaries this year. I read this book on my kindle and loved it so much that I went ahead and brought the hardcover.
Unspoken is a great book. All the characters are so awesome that after reading this book you will suffer from the syndrome called "My-life-sucks" Kami is the most adorable and lovable protagonist ever and Sarah Rees Brennan is the definition of awesomeness.
Everneath was just awesome. The book sucked me in and I finished it in one day(yes!) and then started stalking the author to find out about the next book. I loved Jack! Totally swoon worthy but I liked Cole too. Beautiful cover and amazing plot.
The Fault is Our stars was real and honest. So if you haven't read the book, read it. I'm not a John Green fan but this book is seriously amazing. Hazel and Augustus will make you go through a roller coaster of emotions.
There You'll Find Me, is a beautiful book. It's the kind of book that inspires you. It also makes you wish that you were living in Ireland. The writing is the book's trump card. Even if you don't like the book, you won't deny that Jenny B. Jones has talent.
The Golden Lily, two words, Adrian Ivashkov. I'm truly, madly, deeply in love with Adrian and this book had me swooning. I want him to get his happy ending and this book made me feel like he was one step closer. Though I want Adrian to be with me ONLY.
Ashen Winter, this is one of the most realistic dystopian novels that I have ever read. I love the writing and the fact that Mike makes all the female characters really awesome and Kickass is a good enough reason for me to add it in this list.
The lost Girl, I cried so much while reading this book. I was totally involved in the story. It touched my heart like few books have. The writing is simple and beautiful. The idea is just brilliant. More people need to read this book and it needs a sequel. READ IT!!
Easy, there was nothing in the book that I didn't like. It broke my heart. It's beautiful through and through. Great writing, awesome characters. And Lucas, yeah I'm in love with you. <3
Graffiti Moon, I love it, every part, every part. Cath is an amazing write, she is creative and talented. Read this book, it will surely move you and you will wish for it to never end.
I would also like to mention Sweet Evil, Gravity and Onyx because I loved them too.

I read The Demon's Lexicon this year and fell in love with Sarah Rees Brennan's writing. I really need to get a copy of Unspoken, even though the UK cover is awful compared to the US.
