Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She’s aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girl, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn’t until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He’s the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
The market is full of YA fantasy novels with the same kind of plot, characters and the angle of forbidden love. So, what makes this book special?
IMO this is a better version of those novels. The author has added the things we love subtracted all the annoying stuff and *tada*.
I really like this book. The plot, the characters, Kaidan, everything is great. The book starts slow but picks up and then there is no looking back. There is so much happening in the book all the time. Absolutely no dull moments.
Kaidan
I don't think I will ever get a boyfriend. Kaidan you ruined me for all the other guys. *sigh*
Kai, like Thai, only yummier.
I loved Kaidan. There is nothing about him that I would like to change. He is hot, sexy and mysterious. He made me shiver, gave me goosebumps, swept me off my feet.
He is the son of the Duke(Devil) of Lust and he is supposed to do his dirty "work" without any questions. I hated his father. *evilness personified*
Kaidan is really swoon-worthy, his chemistry with Anna is amazing.
Anna
It's been a long time since I liked the female protag in a novel of this genre. Mainly, because most of them are dumb, one-dimensional and dull.
I like this one. Anna is innocent and sweet. She is brave and selfless. But not boring, though she is quite predictable.
I really like the plot. The angels/demons stuff made sense to me. I could understand where the story was going. Even when I read fantasy I want it to be something that I could believe in. I like to see logic in all the chaos. That is why, I love HP.
The writing is good and the character development is excellent. The secondary characters are interesting.
The ending disappointed me a little bit. Waiting for the sequel!

“He was smoking hot. As in H-O-T-T, hott. I’d never understood until that moment why girls insisted on adding an extra t. This guy was extra-t-worthy.”
