Book Review: Existence (Existence Trilogy #1)

These eyes give me goosebumps!

What happens when you're stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course.

Pagan Moore doesn't cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn't let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead.

Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn't realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all.

He is Death and he's about to break all the rules.

REVIEW:

If death looked like this who wouldn't want to die? :P

I love Dank. He is so damn hot!. Never thought death could be so romantic. I am hoping for more of him in the next book.

Also, a book from his POV would be even better. I read the part which Abbi has posted on her site and it is oh-so-sexyy!!

I let my eyes travel down her dress and enjoyed the simple fact she’d bought it for me. I’d suggested this color. This dress hadn’t been bought for the quarterback. The need to growl my approval was overwhelming.

Needing to be near her, I sat down beside her on the small bed. The smell of honey warmed me. Her hair always smelled completely edible.

I liked Leif. He was a great boyfriend. He cared for Pagan but I didn't like the way she treated him. She should have broken up with him long time back when she realized she loved someone else. I understand that she was confused and he was what she needed at that time but leading him on wasn't right. He didn't deserve it.

“I don’t want you to just be mytutor. I want you to be the girl I look for in the halls everymorning and save a seat for in the cafeteria. I want you to bethe one waiting for me when I walk off the field at my games.I want you to be the one I pick up the phone to call just tomake me smile.”
aww....that is so romantic!! *sigh*

Pagan, well I am confused about her. She is likeable but I couldn't understand what was so special about her. I though she was a bit melodramatic, to be honest.
I loved the plot. It was different and fun. Abbi Glines proves her versatility. Kudos to her! I like the way the book ended. I so want to read the next one!

“My beautiful soul,"he murmured and caressed my cheek."When you have the ultimate selfless sacrifice it paid my wrong. You proved to be worthy of my devotion.Of Death's...love.”
